WOODY WOODPECKER ILLUSTRATION

Woody Woodpecker was one of my favorite cartoon characters when I was a kid. As an aspiring cartoonist, I found his design appealing, and as a young viewer, I found his cartoons to be very entertaining. Years later, when I joined other professional artists in drawing for children at charity events, Woody was an often-requested character for me to draw. There is just something about him that kids gravitate to. This was, of course, during the time when one could still watch Walter Lantz's cartoons on television. I created this illustration with pencil, paper and Adobe Illustrator. Woody Woodpecker is owned and copyrighted by Walter Lantz and NBC-Universal.
