LIZARD ILLUSTRATION

It was reported last week that a new lizard species was discovered in the Philippines. This reptile, which is related to the carnivorous Komodo dragon, is strictly a fruit eater. Well, maybe so, but this critter is over 6 feet in length, and if I ever see one of these the next time my wife and I are visiting the Philippines, I'll be hightailing it in the other direction!

Brilliant design Mark, the colours are fantastic.

Wows...that's gotta be the healthiest reptile alive from the looks and sounds of it!

Very smart artwork to mark the discovery, Mark - although at first the colour reminded me ever so slighty of "Krypto the Superdog's" Ignatius ;)

Thanks so much, Owen and Chris!

You know Chris, I worked on the Krypto TV show, and I completely forgot about the Ignatius character. I can't even recall what he looked like, but the name certainly rang a bell!

Ahhhh, I thought as much - I knew it wasn't just Iwao Takamoto responsible for the show's look ;)

Actually, Chris, Ignatius was designed by either Iwao or Scott Jeralds.
